Official ceremony has to be at the Town Hall (Ajuntament)
or at the Registry Office (Registre Civil). Not at a private location.

- Certificate of Residence (Padró Municipal d’Habitants)

Foreign Residence Card (Tarjeta de Residencia)
or DNI (Spanish National ID card) + photocopy - Birth Certificate (from Foreign Office, if UK)
Stamped with a Hague Apostille and legally translated into Spanish - Free To Marry Declaration (if a Foreign Passport Holder, from own Consulate)
Confirming not married in home country/no other impediment to the marriage. (can take over 21 (working) days to arrange - If Married Before
Previous marriage certificate divorce certificate or spouse’s death certificate. Stamped with a Hague Apostille and legally translated into Spanish
Town hall/registry office/district court/religious authority often decide any additional local rules
